Prescribed text for those who graduate in 2019?

I'm in Year 10 as of now (so I'll graduate in 2019) and I plan to do Advanced English next year. I plan to read ahead on the prescribed texts which I'll possibly do for my HSC course, so I tried to find a list of them and I encountered two lists, one from boardofstudies.nsw.edu.au and another from syllabus.nesa.nsw.edu.au. The problem here is that the one from the Board of Studies website shows a 2015-2020 curriculum while the Syllabus website shows a 2019-2023 curriculum. Which list should of prescribed texts should I use?

Also, yes, I'm aware the board of studies website is being replaced but when I click on the new NESA website then try to navigate to the Advanced English prescribed texts it automatically sends me to the Board of Studies link I pasted above.

UNSW accomodation (unsw village & university terraces)

Hey guys,
I'm an international student newly enrolled into UNSW EE for the 2018 February intake.

There's a few question I have in mind regarding the student accomodation.
Currently i'm looking at studio room in UNSW Village & University Terraces.

1)
I may have friend/family member to visit me for a few days once a year, are they allowed to actually stay with me in the same room for a couple of days ? Do the village / terraces actually "check" ??

2)
What are your opinions on village & terraces ? I heard the village "bed" is horrible though. Any other reviews (cleanliness, environment etc etc) ??

3)
How much wifi bandwidth do village & terraces provide ? Can't seem to find much info on em.
terraces : Wi-Fi, electricity, gas and water included
village : High speed internet access (additional fees apply)

Have you been told about final internal school ranking after trial?

Just curious to know others schools' arrangement.
When will you be told, or will you be told about your ranking in the subject after the trial and the year marks are ready?
My kid's school said they will not disclose ranking, they just submit student's raw marks to NESA.
Is it a usual practise in your school too?
Any past HSC student can shed a light on this?

Rank and average marks
Adv Eng: approx. 20/75 (90%)
2U Maths: approx. 8/67 (94%)
3U Maths: 5/25 (65%)
Society and Culture: 1/42 (95%)
Legal Studies: 1/47 (100%)
Visual Arts: 3/21 (93%)
Physics: 1/16 (90%) (School has had no Band 6s in Physics as far as I know so Physics probably won't count)

What are assignments like in a neuroscience major?

I'm interested in neuroscience and I had a look at the course outline (within bachelor of science) and there are a lot of "soft science" subjects in it such as psychology related ones.

Although psychology isn't my main interest I don't mind learning about it but I am worried that it will require essays as part of the assignments or tests because my essays look like they were written by a dyslexic chimp.

So what are the assignments/ tests like in neuroscience?

Hello,

I am completing a short case study for a screening qualification. I wonder if somebody would be kind enough to answer a questionnaire for me. I went through many resources checked Case study example for help but,did not get any help.I only need one but am running a little short on time. I could send you the questions and you can send them back. I don't need your name. I'd anybody would be kind enough to help that would be great. I reckon it would take about 20 minutes to complete

USyd Finance major

Hey, so I'm considering Commerce at USyd and am leaning heavily towards a finance major. Mainly I'd just want some input into the content (how maths heavy it is) and what are the assessment tasks like (is it mostly group work?). Other majors I've considered are Economics & Accounting. The general idea is to take a quantitative major along with some electives in BIS and management, not a double major. Would having a single major disadvantage me compared to someone with a double major? (My other major would be some social science - I'm still deciding which one).

Hi guys I am achieving decent marks for my other subjects but I have completely failed 2u maths throughout this year. Is 2U prelim content featured a lot in the HSC? I know algebra but just trigonometry and some quadratics are really hard for me to memorise/ understand. Also are there any tips for learniing this content during HSC? Thanks for the help

So, our school finished all our assessments and tests and stuff. I've gotten back my marks and rankings for all my subjects, EXCEPT FOR ENGLISH ADV.

This is because according the eng adv teacher "NESA does not allow to disclose the final assessment mark"

Is this true?
