Since 'The Hollow Men' was explicitly asked for in last year's HSC is it worth concentrating on?
I feel much stronger in the other poems and though I have some notes on it I feel like I'm wasting my time.

Have there ever been any instances were the exact same poem (out of the 5) is asked for two consecutive years?

As of right now I'm absolutely torn between my top two preferences of a Bachelor of Applied Science - Radiography at USYD or a Bachelor of Pharmacy at USYD

I know Radiography is a lot harder to get into but besides that how do these two courses compare in terms of job prospects and everything else?

I'll still leave both in my preferences but I would love some insight!

I'm really passionate about health sciences but one downside is that all the courses aren't on the main campus.
This isn't a dealbreaker for me but I wanna know if the Cumberland campus has any benefits or is it really as dead and boring as some people say?

Hello,

So, I messed up HSC big time. I got an ATAR below 80, but was offered a place in OT at ACU due to their bonus point system. OT is something I want to be doing as a career, and I'm thinking of transferring to USYD now. What GPA should I be aiming for, to get there?

I have Yearlies going on at the moment but my teacher always is telling me to do form and to do four quotes with analysis while elaborating six concept, but how do I incorporate the form in what do you do?

I just finished my internal assessments and I go to a school usually ranked between 25-40.

My ranks are terrible as I'm ranked in the bottom half for everything except PDHPE and 2 unit maths.

I only know a few ranks so far:

PDHPE: 16/80 (about 12 band 6's last year)
English: 98/141 (about 38 band 6's last year)
Chemistry: 58/75 (about 7 band 6's last year)

I also do Physics and 3u maths but my ranks are terrible in those as well (I'm talking bottom 20-30%).

If I do really well in HSC (like 90 raw mark in everything, maybe 80 raw in 3u maths) can I still get a 90+ ATAR?

I'm really confused.

About 2 weeks ago I got my school assessment mark for English (72) and my rank: 98/141.

Will my internal moderated assessment mark be 72 (scaled if my school did good/bad) or the mark of the person who came 98th (e.g. 65)?

And also, do you guys think I can at least get a mid Band 5 if I get a raw mark of above 85 in the actual HSC exam?

I was just wondering if any past students get below average internal ranks but still managed a 90+ ATAR?

I go to a school ranked between 25-40 and I do Adv. English, Chem, Economics, PDHPE, 2U Maths and 3U Maths.

I'm ranked below average in everything except 2u and PDHPE.

If any past students managed this, could you please write your internal ranks and the approx. ATAR you ended up getting?

Hi friends
MIT has uploaded all their mathematics lectures notes exams etc online . Should I just buy the ebooks and do a self study maths course or should I enrol in a legit maths degree?

Currently I'm studying commerce in second year and maths/Phys interests me. However making money interests me too. I think the probability of me doing well off is much higher if I do commerce (personally )

I'm completing 14 units for prelim. These include:

3U Maths
3U English
Physics
Chem
Music 1
SOR II (compulsory)

I'm currently doing SOR accelerated and I really don't like it. With such heavy subjects, I'm thinking of dropping down to SOR I so I have more time in Year 12 as I also intend to drop Music and pick up 4U Maths (and that the SOR I HSC exam is mid next year). However, my school has made it compulsory that I do 14 units in case I have to drop both Ext. English and Ext. Math provided I can't handle them in prelim year. I really don't know what I would do then. There are 2 1-unit subjects I can pick from to do 14 units, but they are subjects I would hate even more than SOR II. Another option would be that I have to pick up ANOTHER 2-unit subject bringing my units to 15 (I'm sure they won't let me do this).

Regardless, is it worth it inquiring about changing from SOR II to SOR I? It's my only humanities subject so if I keep it I intend to use it to practice my English, but it's just a subject that fails to interest me and I'm behind in all my work now. I've done an exam for it already and will get my marks back soon. Should I just decide then? I can't even handle doing the work now as it doesn't interest me at all. If I do inquire to change, what do you speculate they will make me do? Pick up 2 more units?

Hey. I'm a rural student who is classified as RA2 (RRMA 3 for UNSW)

I was wondering what chance i have at getting Medicine or Dentistry across Australia. I got my UMAT of 67th percentile today (fml). I have a predicted ATAR of 98+ and I was wondering if I have any chance left. Thanks!

So this is the only place where i can talk about my hsc and stuff to improve basically. Can you guys tell me honestly if i could get an atar of 80+ with these results and if i cant please tell me what to do in order to achieve it. I submitted my form to UOW for early admission but i doubt they would pick me since my results are that bad.

My Trial Results:
English Advanced: 60% (Rank 170/221)
Physics: 56% (Rank ??? Last time i checked was 78/92 but i dont have the overall rank yet)
Biology: 38% (Rank 79/92)[Worse subject of all my subjects]
Maths 2U: 87% (Rank ???)
Maths 3U: 27/70 = 38.5% (Rank ???)
Engineering Studies: 63% (Rank 13/30??? I probably moved up since i am top 10 in this test)

So yeah guys im really feeling kinda depressed thinking i wouldnt get into biomedical engineering for uni. I need to hit an atar of 80 to get into UOW or an atar of 89+ (which i dont think i can but will try) for UTS etc. I used atar calculator from Talent100 and Atar Notes and my atar was 51-59... which is depressing. So i dont know what i can do now... i feel so demotivated. So if anyone could please guide me to an atar of 80 my ears are open to whatever you have to say.
